Bright Philip Donkor wins 2020 CSA Best Student in Online Journalism

Bright Philip Donkor of the Ghana Institute of Journalism on Friday, July 03, 2020 won the Best Student in Online Journalism Award in the Maiden Edition of the Communication Students Awards, which was held in Accra via Zoom.

The Communication Students Awards seeks to encourage and motivate students who are excelling in public relations, journalism, music, acting and other communication related disciplines.

In a brief statement signed by the CEO of Sky Infinity, the awards ceremony was held on Zoom due to the current situation of COVID-19.

A number of honorary awards were given out to deserving communication students for their various contributions in the media landscape.

In the competitive category, Bright came up top as the Best Student In Online Journalism for his demonstrated commitment to work, high sense of professionalism, upholding the ethics of the profession and writing of intelligent news and opinion stories in championing the welfare of Journalists & students.

Shortly after winning the award, he took turns to express his profound gratitude to God saying he takes consolation from the word.

“I thank the Organizers of the Award Scheme for their hard work in these difficult times. Also, I wish to express my appreciation to the many (through votes and prayers) that were instrumental in bestowing upon him this honor and recognition.”
