The Director of Smartix Education has revealed that the rapid increase of corruption in the country is as a result of the educational system and structure in the country.
Smartix education is a hybrid mode of education through practical’s and games which can be adopted in the country to groom children from the kindergarten level to class 6 to help them learn with ease with any force being applied or cramming.
Mr. Patrick Djaga in an exclusive interview revealed that the educational system in Ghana is absolutely theoretical which makes it difficult for the children to understand the concept. Therefore the Smartix education is here to help Ghanaian children to learn with ease through videos, projects and practical’s which will enable them to visualize and remember what is being taught.
He added that this new curriculum has been tested in last year through a free summer school organized at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) kindergarten school and it is still under testing for free aiming at helping children to solve problems in the community and also learn on their own. Some of the children who started the summer school this vacation have been able to developed traffic lights, smoke detectors on their own within one month which there will exhibition on next week Saturday.
This years summer school has been organized in Kumasi the capital of the Ashanti Region and also in Ho the capital of the Volta region which is aimed to test this mode of educational curriculum in various regions across the country to evaluate how impactful the curriculum will be when it is fully approved by the Ghana Education Service ( GES)
Mr. Djaga furthered explained that classroom sitting breeds corruption and individualism in the classroom because the nature of the educational system in the country which has affected nationwide co-operation with people in the country.
He concluded by encouraged various private schools who wants to adopt this hybrid mode of education contact the leadership of Smartix education to help them train teachers on how to use the new educational curriculum to the their children which will enable the children to think together as a group to solve societal problem in the community and the country at large.
