The Writers and Debaters Society at the Ghana has unveiled a new logo as part of a re-branding campaign.
The new logo is made up of blue-black background, two converging curved lines, a circle of continuous dots, two fists and an image of a podium with human icon soaring layers of graph towards a star.
The words “Writers and Debaters’ Society” and “Ghana Institute of Journalism-GIJ” written in curved upper case letters one on top and the other below the curved lines.
According to the Communications Director of the WDS-GIJ, Ms. Sally Akuffobea Opoku, the new logo stands for sefl-motivation, persuasion, excellence, activism, debating and public speaking which are all values the Society holds in high esteem.
The Society’s verbose vision is “Raising the Next Generation of Expert Debaters, Professional Public Speakers and Astute Writers in Pursuit of Individual and Social Development.”
